Background and current passions: The owner of Yelm Yoga Centers, she grew up in Snohomish WA were she enjoyed her life as a dedicated team gymnast for 20 years and then naturally became a team gymnastics coach. As a certified USA Gymnastic Instructor she enjoyed helping gymnasts excel and win scholarships to various colleges. After graduating from Lake WA College in personal training, physical fitness & nutrition, she continued her education graduating with a BA from Cornish College of the Arts, and double majoring in Interior Design and Motion Graphics. It was in her later college years she started a weekly Yoga practice in between all the sitting required for editing and animating cartoons. She found that Asana helped bring more balanced to her life and helped her feel more content. After realizing she didn't want a career in animation as fun and creative as it was, she didn't want to sit for hours a day. She started to look into finding a real Yoga school. She almost gave up when she finally came across The College of Purna Yoga. She was supported to transform and connect to importance of life again. Through her transformation she felt a deep passion to share the knowledge that helped her wake up from a numb, and armored state of living, to a life rich in beautiful feelings and meaning. She enjoys to teach teacher training's and witness others progressing in their bodies and connecting deeply to their hearts through a beautiful lifestyle. To keep her passions Alive on a weekly basis she joins two continual education classes at the College of Purna Yoga each week - Aadil Palkhivala's Asana class and Savitri Heartfull Meditation class. On the weekends she enjoys volunteering for the Alive and Shine Foundation where she teaches the Heartfelt meditation snacks that changed her life to children at homeless shelters and domestic violence survivors. "My priority is to live Yoga, I am grateful to share what I have learned with the world."
